Firalis offers a wide range of biomarker services (preclinical and clinical sample analysis in proteomics (multiplex, high sensitivity), RNA profiling and sequencing, NGS sequencing (Whole genome, exome, RNA-Seq), flow cytometry, test development and validation of ELISA/PCR kits (RUO/IVD), biobanking, etc.). The company is looking for talented candidates to join the business department and lead the current scientific projects based on biomarker services.
The candidate should be highly motivated to match company goals of expansion. The role requires a good scientific background, CRM and prospection knowledge to present innovative products and services to prospects and customers in an international environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
o Drive the scientific projects in relation with pharmaceutical companies and public researchers
o Prospect and identify new clients and the decision makers for biomarker services (CRO) and Firalis products (RUO and IVD)
o Contact and build relationships with new clients - Set up meetings - Negotiate contracts (WO, SOW, MSA, CDA)
o Generate proposals, presentations, and participate to marketing strategies
o Develop of external communications and social media
o Attend workshops, trade fairs and networking events
o Keep track of business and market Intelligence
o Initiate contacts for R&D collaborations with KOLs and Big Pharma
o Ability to work independently and in a team environment
o Excellent presentation skills in both written and oral forms
o Master’s Degree/PhD in natural sciences like biology, biochemistry, chemistry or medicine or MBA
o At least 5 years' experience from business developer or similar positions within the life science industry.
o Successful track record from commercialization of medical products
o Experience from project management and initiation, design and communication of clinical studies and customer evaluations
o Scientific skills in biology would be an asset (e.g. proteomics, genomics, metabolomics, flow cytometry)
o Fluent in English or French. German would be an asset
o Familiarity with QMS (quality management systems) would be a plus
