About Diabeloop

Diabeloop’s mission is to make technological disruptive innovations accessible to people with Type 1 diabetes. To fulfill this commitment we work everyday with families and patients to co-build projects with real-life positive impact. Born, in 2015, out of a medical research project, our company gathers the talents of 80 team members, in Grenoble, where the headquarters are located, and Paris. Our first product, the DBLG1 System, is an external medical device embedding artificial intelligence to automate insulin delivery. After receiving CE marking in November 2018, we are now focusing on a progressive commercial roll-out in Europe.

Job description

In order to support this strategy and the ever growing interest around Diabeloop and its solutions we are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer (M/W). The Cyber Security Engineer will be part of the team responsible for the protection and security of the systems that stores Diabeloop datas.

  • Develop cybersecurity strategies that are in line with best practices (e.g. OWASP), to make Diabeloop products more secure
  • Be part of the Cybersecurity Risk Analysis team
  • Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities on products (web applications/services, Mobile/Android, cloud API’s)
  • Perform security assessments and vulnerability scans, and work with the Technical Solutions team to provide adequate solutions in order to minimize cyber attacks and their consequences
  • Suggest and implement improvements and development of internal processes and documentations for security activities
  • Ability to make all the teams aware of all cyber security issues
  • Integrate cyber security into Diabeloop’s culture
  • Realize constant cyber security watch 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant security knowledge and, perimeter protection, malware and threat analysis, network/host intrusion detection, and security operations
  • Significant experience with implementing, documenting and managing a variety of Security Technologies
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise technologies and processes (Virtualization, Cloud Computing, data loss prevention, vulnerability management)
  • You have strong listening skills and good explaining skills
  • You have a good analytical spirit
  • You level in English allows you to easily hold a conversation, and to write and read technical documentations

Not required but appreciated:

  • Knowledge of Node and Go environments
  • Basic knowledge of Android Development
  • Knowledge of the Medical Devices sector would be a big plus
