CTO - Chief Technical Officer

GAMMA Tech is a just born start-up with a strong initial IP in both specific polymers and unmatched fillers to achieve unique composites. We want to bring new formulations of compounds to the automotive and aerospace industries and to the building sector. We believe our products can be highly attractive due to their lightness, their combined properties as regards mechanical, electric and thermal behavior, but also due to their very competitive price level.

The founders have been part of many successful start-up creations and are experienced people in the field of advanced materials in which GAMMA Tech can be a game changer.   

Your mission consists in managing the R&D department and leading this innovative project, i.e. turning smart components into multifunctional industrial composites. 

For such a purpose, your team will have to:

• Define and deploy project innovation process
• Develop and specify new composites and new formulations 
• Keep control of the project in terms of milestones, deliverables, budget and quality acceptance
• Refer to unexpected ideas
• Keep aware of customers’ requirements by a permanent exchange with our marketing and sales department
• Remain closely connected with suppliers, customers and partners and most innovative actors. 
• Generate new intellectual property
• Achieve technological & market intelligence and competition analysis systems
• Contribute to the technical releases about new products

PhD in chemistry or Master’s degree in chemical engineering

10-15 years of experience in the material sector, ideally in a R&D department

You have a good technical knowledge of the following items:

• Polymers (formulation, moulding processes, rheology)
• Organic chemistry
• Matrix reinforcement and natural/mineral fillers
• Mechanical, thermal and electric material characterization
• Recycling technologies

We expect you to be:
