Your Challenges
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for risk management.
· Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
· Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and industry trends.
· Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems.
· Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Your Profile as a Java Developer
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience in Java 11 (and Java 17), Spring Framework (version 5 and above), Spring MVC, JavaScript/Typescript frameworks like Vue.js/Angular (we work with Vue.js), Responsive HTML/CSS, Design & Implementation of REST API, JAX-WS and JAX-RS, SOA principles (REST, SOAP).
· Hands-on experience with cloud deployments (Microsoft Azure/Azure DevOps, etc.).
· Preferably 3-7 years of working experience (or more) in developing Java or JavaScript applications.
· Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Like to work in a team where everybody's values and ideas are heard.
Languages
Fluent in either French or Dutch and next to an excellent understanding of English.
Location:
Brussels, Belgium
Minimally two days per week in the office in Brussels North is mandatory, working remotely the rest of the week is allowed.
