1. Context of the mission / Objective(s) of the job
The technical leader is a senior developer. Next to his classical development tasks, he will to asked to:
o Perform code review on his projects
o Define and guarantee the unit testing strategy and development on his project
o Take the lead on an EC technical track. For example:
▪ Unit testing general coverage
▪ Exceptions follow-up
▪ Technical documentation and training follow-up
▪ Maintenance and evolution of the Expertise Centre Web Template, which is a
common library of components at AG Insurance.
The senior developer will be asked to
o Give an estimation for the development based on the requirements received from the business
or the IS divisions.
o Design effective technical solutions in collaboration with the functional designers.
o Develop applications using AG insurance standard tools, based on the technical and
functional analysis and following defined architecture, according to the AG Insurance
standards enabling reuse of the code and improvement of the performance. Ensure correct
deployment in the different environments.
o Ensure the effectiveness & quality of the solution by executing the appropriate tests
o Maintain the quality of the technical patrimony and anticipate potential impacts of a new
development on this patrimony.
o Identify & Solve issues detected in a technical implementation.
o Guarantee the long term overall quality of the application domain by systematically taking into
account: stability, scalability, traceability, flexibility, maintainability, performance, etc.
o Follow the recommendation given after a code review
o Perform unit testing and pre-integration testing
o Provide developer documentation
o Offer coaching and technical support in the team
