Your role : 🔎
Reporting to the Hybrid Director & AFT co-founder, the Thermal Integration Engineer (all gender) is responsible for the overall thermal integration of all propulsion systems on ATEA. In collaboration with the other system managers (battery, eDrive, ICE, etc.) and under the guidance of the Hybrid Architect Technical Lead (all gender), he/she ensures that the hybrid engine is equipped with a mature, resilient and high-performance thermal management system to guarantee the reliability and performance of the system. He/She coordinates the thermal integration requirements with the system managers.
Your main responsibilities will be :
Lead the design, development and integration of thermal control systems for all propulsion and avionics subsystems.
Ensure that all systems remain within operational thermal limits throughout the aircraft flight envelope.
Coordinate the various flight and ground system suppliers to facilitate the integration of your designs.
Model and predict thermal management system performance, including transient behavior and failure cases.
Lead system level arbitration and actively participate in aircraft level trade-off decision making to achieve overall design and performance optimisation, provide associated recommendations, solutions and implementations.
Actively participate in the integration and test campaign phases of the thermal system as well as the flight testing of the aircraft.
Organize the thermal integration of all systems on board the aircraft. Coordinate the associated efforts and propose innovative solutions.
We are looking for someone who have:
8+ years experience in the design and implementation of thermal management systems
An innovative, cutting-edge approach to thermal management systems in on board applications preferably in hybrid electric powertrains
Knowledge of air and liquid cooling system design
Experience in prototyping and project management
Advanced Simulink/Simscape skills with a focus on 1D thermal modeling
Innovative and forward-thinking approach to thermal management systems in on-board applications, preferably in hybrid electric powertrains.
Knowledge of aeronautical and its specific set of constraints, specialy the certification standards
