The primary responsibility of a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe/Mill Turn is to have the ability to trouble shoot / break in new products and programs. Including set ups checking for tool / fixture clearance. Reviewing new programs avoiding machine crashes, proper touch offs, catching mistakes.
Essential Responsibilities
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Reads and interprets blueprints and programs.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of others and is a qualified trainer (on skills matrix).
Follow 6S guidelines in the work area.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of Aerospace concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to perform with in tight tolerances and work within already established parameters.
Experience with tolerances of +/- .001
The use and understanding of a variety of gages including but not limited to. Bore gages, Johnson gages, Pitch Mics and an indicator for setting and establishing work offsets.
Experience with mill/turns is a plus.
