·        Artelys has developed, for the French Ministry of the Ecological Transition, a multi-sector technical-economic assessment tool for low-carbon trajectories. The tool developed covers the main sectors of the economy emitting greenhouse gases (transport, energy production, industry, construction, agriculture) and aims to select the most relevant investments with regard to the greenhouse gas reduction targets specified at the outset.

·        Artelys is in charge of developing, for a consortium of Transmission System Operators (TSOs), a tool for modeling the European power grid in order to increase power exchanges while ensuring grid security.

Job description

For customer or internal R&D projects, you will be in charge of organizing and planning projects to develop decision support tools in the energy sector, from the design phase to deployment and maintenance, working with a team of engineers in computer science and applied mathematics. You will also be involved in team development, and in writing commercial proposals.

As part of the projects you will lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the project team dedicated to realizing the software solution within the budgets and deadlines agreed with the customer

  • Evaluate the risks that may arise during the implementation and set up project structures and management tools (dashboards, indicators, organization of committees) to cover them

  • Communicate and manage the expectations of customers and potential partners involved in the project

  • Define requirements in terms of human resources and technical skills needed to meet deadlines, comply with costs and produce a solution that meets customer needs

  • Participate in writing commercial proposals.

Profile

You are the ideal candidate if:

  • You hold an engineering school degree, a master or a Ph.D, with a specialization in energy or project management

  • You have at least 3 years experience as a software development project manager and, if possible, at least 2 years experience as a Java or Python software engineer

  • You are motivated by the project management and the responsibility of a team, a budget and deadlines

  • You have an interested in scientific and quantitative approaches applied to the energy sector

  • You are able to balance the customer's business vision, the developer's technical vision, and the company's economic vision;

  • You have excellent listening and interpersonal skills;

  • You have good communication skills in French and English.

Any knowledge, experience and interest in the energy sector, particularly power systems, will be valued.

  • Permanent contract, managerial status with a 4-month probationary period.

Recruitment process:

Step 1: An initial technical interview via video conference with two recruiters (45 minutes x 2).

Step 2: A second interview via video conference with two other recruiters, as well as a brief 15-minute discussion with the CEO of Artelys (45 minutes x 2 + 15 minutes).

Step 3: If your interviews are successful, we will invite you to visit our premises to make you an offer in person and introduce you to the work environment.
