Job description

As a member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for assisting us in the challenging development of our software solutions! 

Your main tasks will be to: 

  • Participate in the design and development of the backend of Artelys' software solutions. Make structural decisions to improve the quality, performance, and overall fit of the final product,

  • Engage in the long-term maintenance and evolution of Artelys' software products, such as Artelys Crystal Platform,

  • Participate as a technical expert in high-level discussions about new features of Artelys Crystal to expand its offering to new clients,

  • Train and support less experienced members of the team to help them grow into accomplished developers. 

Profile

You have at least  4 years of experience as a software developer and wish to apply your expertise to the development of high-impact software. 

You are the ideal candidate if you meet 3 or more of the following : 

  • You have a master's degree in Computer Science, Sofware Engineering or Applied Mathematics,

  • You have knowledge of the energy and/or transport sectors,

  • You are familiar with advanced OOP concepts and have mastered an object-oriented language (preferably Java),

  • You understand computational complexity and use it to improve the quality of your work,

  • You have a good knowledge of at least one server development framework (Spring, ASP.NET, Flask, etc.),

  • You are experienced in relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL),

  • You have practiced the design and implementation of server APIs (synchronous and asynchronous),

  • You engage in continuous integration activities and can configure CI processes (Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.),

  • You understand and use virtualization and containerization (Docker).

Languages 

Fluency in Spanish and in English (C1 as a minimum) are a must. Proficient level in French will be considered as a valuable skill.

 

Working conditions 

  • Permanent contract, managerial status with a 6-month probationary period,

  • Up to 2 days of remote work per week,

  • Flexible working hours,

  • Meal tickets,

  • Offices located in the city center of Madrid. 

 

Recruitment process 

Step 1: An initial interview via video conference with the director of Artelys Spain and the technical director (1 hour and 45 minutes),

Step 2: A second interview via video conference with two other recruiters, as well as a brief 15-minute discussion with the CEO of Artelys (45 minutes + 30 minutes + 15 minutes),

Step 3: If your interviews are successful, we will invite you to visit our premises to make you an offer in person and introduce you to the work environment.
