Artelys España, the Spanish subsidiary of Artelys, is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Java back-end developer to join our team in Madrid.
As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for assisting us in the challenging development of our software solutions!
Your main tasks will be to:
Participate in the design and development of the backend of Artelys' software solutions.
Make structural decisions to improve the quality, performance, and overall fit of the product,
Train and support less experienced members of the team to help them grow into accomplished developers.
Participate as a technical expert in high-level discussions about new features of Artelys Crystal software suite to expand its offering to new clients.
Engage in the long-term maintenance and evolution of Artelys' software products.
You have at least 4 years of experience as a Java software developer and wish to apply your expertise to the development of high-impact software.
You are the ideal candidate if:
You have a master's degree in computer science, Sofware Engineering or Applied Mathematics,
You are familiar with advanced OOP concepts applied to backend development,
You understand computational complexity and use it to improve the quality of your work,
You are experienced in relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL),
Languages
Fluency in Spanish and in English (C1 as a minimum) is a must.

Recruitment process
Step 1: An initial interview via video conference with the director of Artelys Spain and the technical director (1 hour and 45 minutes),
Step 2: A second interview via video conference with two other recruiters, as well as a brief 15-minute discussion with the CEO of Artelys (45 minutes + 30 minutes + 15 minutes),
Step 3: If your interviews are successful, we will invite you to visit our premises to make you an offer in person and introduce you to the work environment.
