Joining Artelys means, above all, becoming part of a stimulating environment, made up of passionate experts and giving yourself the opportunity to take part in projects addressing various complex issues, notably addressing the major challenges of our time.
Artelys supports major public (ministries, metropolitan authorities, etc.) and private actors (large energy companies, industrial associations, etc.) across Europe, America and Africa on energy strategy topics.
Brookfield Renewable commissioned Artelys to assess the optimization potential of the planning process for two of its main hydroelectric power plants. After conducting a feasibility study, Artelys implemented a software management solution based on Artelys Crystal Energy Planner to optimize the short-term schedules of these plants. This solution is now used operationally by Brookfield Renewable's teams.
Artelys has been tasked by a consortium of Transmission System Operators (TSOs) with developing a modelling tool for the European electricity network, in order to coordinate TSO actions so as to increase electricity exchanges while ensuring network security. The tool is based on the open-source Java library PowSyBl, and calculations are distributed across an HPC cluster.
Swissgrid recently selected Artelys Crystal Super Grid to carry out their analyses on the evolution of the Swiss electricity system (analysis of the benefits of potential grid extension projects; analysis of the system's ability to meet demand even in the event of equipment failure; etc.). Artelys is currently conducting an integration phase of the Artelys Crystal Super Grid tool into Swissgrid's IT ecosystem, in order to facilitate data exchanges and the orchestration of remote calculations.
