Mouratoglou International is expanding its presence in the United States, and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Miami. The successful candidate will become part of our existing accounting and finance team, working collaboratively to support and strengthen the financial operations of a rapidly expanding international business.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Accountant with 4-6 years of experience who is comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of core accounting processes, including but not limited to month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, cash and treasury, tax coordination and payroll; improve systems and controls, and help build scalable financial practices to support our U.S. operations growth.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and month-end close
Manage and support the monthly close process for U.S. entities
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Accounts Payable (AP) and Receivable (AR)
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes including invoicing, payments, and collections
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Maintain vendor relationships and resolve billing issues
Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
Payroll
Coordinate and process payroll in compliance with company policies and regulations
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
Coordinate with HR on employee changes impacting payroll
Treasury and cash management
Monitor and track cash balances across the different entities, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support daily operations
Prepare and maintain short-term cash forecasts, anticipating major inflows and outflows
Manage and record intercompany transactions and reconciliations, in coordination with the Finance teams in the U.S. and France
Financial Statements and tax coordination
Prepare annual financial statements, including a mid-year review, in coordination with the external accounting firm responsible for review
Prepare tax filings in coordination with the external accounting firm
Process Improvement and collaboration
Contribute actively to the improvement of accounting processes, including the implementation of new financial tools, automation initiatives, and system integrations
Work closely with Finance teams in both the United States and France to ensure alignment and consistency across entities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic or growth-oriented environment
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
Experience with QuickBooks Online required (NetSuite experience is a strong plus)
Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems
Advanced Excel skills
CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a strong plus
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Fluent in English and French
Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
