Job description

Mouratoglou International is expanding its presence in the United States, and we are seeking a motivated ACCOUNTANT to join our growing team. This full-time position is remote, U.S.-based, and will allow you to contribute to the ambitious development of the Mouratoglou operations in the U.S.

In this role, you will be responsible to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our U.S. businesses, month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, supporting compliance with GAAP, and contributing to the development of financial insights for decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Month-End Close:

  • Prepare and process journal entries for all U.S. businesses

  • Perform monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Analyze variances and trends

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Contribute to the development of financial dashboards and KPIs

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Manage full-cycle AP including invoice processing, approvals, and payments

  • Ensure vendor invoices are accurate and paid on time

  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate and issue customer invoices

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments

  • Apply payments and resolve billing discrepancies

Payroll:

  • Process payroll in compliance with company policies and regulations

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data

  • Coordinate with HR on employee changes affecting payroll

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience

  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and ADP (a plus)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications

  • High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
