Aircraft System Installation - Internship (all gender)

At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. We focus our efforts in designing an innovative, safe, silent, clean and affordable aircraft that will be able to blend into existing infrastructures and regulations to ease its deployment and maximise social acceptance.

Your role : 🔎

You will be part of our Equipped Airframe team, supporting the installation of systems inside the aircraft depending on integration requirements and being part of the prototyping & testing phase through the definition of mockups and tooling. 

Your main activities will be : 

• Define the detailed assembly sequence

• Carry out ergonomic analyses of system installations

• Produce prototypes using 3D printing / conventional machining in wood/foam/metal

• Define special system installation tooling

The job has been made for you if you : 🛠

• You are an engineering school student or equivalent in the fields of aerospace or mechanical engineering

• You have  general knowledge of aircraft parts & systems 

• You have skills in CAD (Computer Aided Design)

• You are a team player and a proactive person

• You are curious, enthusiastic and self driven.

• You are looking for a 5 to 6 months internship starting in Feb / March 2024
