Avionics HMI Engineer (all gender)

At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. We focus our efforts in designing an innovative, safe, silent, clean and affordable aircraft that will be able to blend into existing infrastructures and regulations to ease its deployment and maximise social acceptance.

Your role : 🔎

Within the Avionics team, you will contribute to a project of Human Machine Interface using the knowledge of the whole System and Simulator teams. You will gather the needs from the customer, manage the whole development cycle of your product, produce and test this HMI using Ascendance methodology.

Your main responsibilities will be : 

• Driving an independent project on HMI

• Gathering the operational and functional requirements from a customer (including interfaces)

• Proposing designs of cockpit display layouts

• Develop functional cockpit displays in QT

Where do we stand? 

You will be entering the team during a crucial part of our development. Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed with many issues to tackle regarding communications networks and associated developments.

The job has been made for you if you have : 🛠

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, Computer Science or related field

• Experience with HMI, Avionics and Flight Control systems development

• An appetite for graphical arts

• Hands on visual tools like Photoshop or FIGMA.

• Knowledge of development in QT & C++

• Knowing UDP protocols

• A plus would be to master the ARINC 661 standard

• Ground & Flight testing experience is a plus

• An experience of CS-23 and CS-27 certification requirements is a plus
