Leonardo Belgium (LBe), headquartered in Liège, Belgium, is a certified Maintenance Organization operating under EASA Part-145, FAA, and UK CAA regulations.
As part of its continued expansion in Northern Europe, LBe operates a maintenance base in Elstree (UK), supporting VIP and commercial helicopter operators across the region.
Our UK activities focus on line and base maintenance for the AW109, AW139, AW169, and AW189 helicopter platforms, delivering high-quality support to a demanding and prestigious customer base.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager / Base Supervisor, you will carry out and certify maintenance activities on Leonardo helicopters in accordance with CAA / EASA regulations and the approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
This role is open to both B1.3 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics) Licensed Engineers. While permanent employment is the preferred engagement model, we will also consider contractors (B2B) depending on candidate preference and experience.
Key Responsabilities:
Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance data
Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects
Carry out inspection, removal, and installation of aircraft systems and components
Perform all maintenance activities in strict compliance with the approved MOE and regulatory requirements (CAA / EASA Part-145)
Complete maintenance documentation, technical logs, and job cards accurately
Support AOG recovery activities in the UK and occasionally overseas
Supervise and mentor technicians and junior engineers when required
Maintain high standards of safety, human factors awareness, and regulatory compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Mandatory requirements:
Valid EASA and/or UK CAA Part-66 License (B1.3 and/or B2)
Proven experience in helicopter maintenance (civil environment preferred)
Type rating on at least one of the following: AW109, AW139, AW169, AW189
Strong knowledge of Part-145, Part-66, and continuing airworthiness regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and OEM manuals
Fluent in English (written and spoken, aviation standard)
Right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Must hold a full UK driving license
