At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Your role : 🔎
Directly reporting to the Procurement Director
Your main responsibilities will be :
Contribution to purchasing strategy definition and implementation
- Program needs analysis
- Target Supplier panel definition
- Contribution to Purchasing Process improvement
- Contribution to Purchasing budget definition and monitoring
Sourcing
- Identification of suppliers matching with defined strategy
- Suppliers sourcing, identification, and preselection jointly with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams
Suppliers selection
- Selection process management (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
- Suppliers offers analysis
- Sourcing Committee management
- Contractualization
- Ensure Ascendance Flight Technologies contractual frame implementation within Suppliers Panel prior to selection
Supplier Performance Management
- Contribution to External Supply Chain Risk analysis and associated mitigation plan
- Ensure the follow up of suppliers contract execution
- Ensure monitoring of suppliers performance in terms of Logistics, Costs and Quality
- Manages supplier action plans in case of recurring performance deviations until acceptable performance is reached.
- Ensure Purchasing KPIs Process update
Procurement
- Orders Management (creation and follow up)
- Invoice Management

The job has been made for you if you: 🛠
Have at least 5 years of Purchasing experience within Aircraft Industry
Have good knowledge of supply chain and purchasing processes
Have negotiation Skills (demonstrated at senior management level)
Have problem solving skills - ability to analyze a problem and determine if driven by design, supplier or other factors in a timely fashion
Are fluent in French and English
Have ability to work in a team and to coordinate with other departments
Demonstrate leadership, influencing, teamwork and effective conflict resolution (drive change, conduct workshops) with strong communication skills at all levels of management internally and at supplier facility (written and verbal)
Ability to work in a highly autonomous environment.
High level of self-motivation and job planning to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
Ability to work tactically with a strategic objective.
