
The Cyber & Security Division of Leonardo Belgium, part of the Leonardo group, focuses on mission-critical services for Institutional organizations, such as NATO.
Based in Brussels, our team operates at the heart of the Institutional ecosystem, supporting high-impact initiatives in close coordination with our engineering and delivery teams across Europe.
To support the development of our Cloud Security activities in Belgium and NATO-related environments, we are looking for a Technical Project Lead capable of combining technical leadership, customer interaction, and cloud architecture expertise in complex international environments.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy leading technical activities, shaping secure cloud solutions, and working closely with both customers and engineering teams.

As a Technical Project Lead, you will act as the technical lead for complex Cloud Security projects, supporting both delivery activities and customer engagements.
You will:
Act as the main technical point of contact for the customer throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate technical activities together with Architecture, Delivery, Project Management and PMO teams
Gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into structured technical solutions
Contribute to the design of secure Cloud architectures and large-scale IT systems
Lead technical workshops, project reviews, and solution discussions with stakeholders
Oversee the production of technical documentation and project deliverables
Support integration, migration, testing, and technical validation activities
Collaborate with international teams in highly structured environments
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Solution Architecture, Technical Leadership, or similar roles
Experience working on complex Cloud or infrastructure projects in international environments
Customer-facing experience with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience coordinating technical teams or technical project activities
Education & Certifications
Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity) or equivalent professional experience
Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications are considered a strong plus
Cloud Security or Systems Engineering certifications are appreciated
Core skills
Strong understanding of Cloud Security principles and architectures
Solid expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud environments is required, while knowledge of AWS would be considered an asset
Experience designing high-level technical solutions and architectures
Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into practical approaches
Strong communication and technical presentation skills
Experience producing technical documentation and project deliverables
Knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
Cloud Security and governance
Microsoft Azure Cloud
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Kubernetes and container platforms
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
API Management and integration platforms
Cloud migration and modernization strategies
Personal attributes
Leadership and coordination skills in multicultural environments
Structured and solution-oriented mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to work effectively in dynamic and complex environments
Proactive attitude and sense of ownership
Languages
Professional English required (C1 preferred)
French is considered a plus
Nice to have:
Experience working in NATO, Defense, Space, or EU Institutional environments
Familiarity with Cloud Security Operations or SOC environments
Exposure to Systems Engineering or technical governance approaches
Experience working on projects involving classified or sensitive environments
Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, TOGAF, ITIL, STANAG or similar
