Celyra Bio is a start-up project set to solve the limitations in exosome production, by betting on pluripotent stem cells and machine learning optimization. Our platform combines stem cells from different species to circumvent regulatory hurdles across countries and to unlock novel exosome bioactive profiles.
The plan is to target dermo-cosmetics first, as it offers a faster market entry and an opportunity to de-risk the business before expanding to the field of therapeutics.
The project is currently being incubated at Genopole, in Evry-Courcouronnes, and the company has not been incorporated yet.
We are seeking a Co-founder and CEO to lead the company through fundraising, customer discovery, market analysis, regulatory strategy and commercialization. You will work closely with the technical founder to develop a commercial strategy and position the company as a key ingredient manufacturer and service provider.
Responsibilities
-Defining and executing the company’s overall vision, strategy, and roadmap together with the technical co-founder.
-Leading early customer discovery with dermo-cosmetic manufacturers, distributors and brands.
-Identifying market opportunities across cosmetic brands and dermatology clinics.
-Building a regulatory pathway strategy.
-Managing communication with investors, partners, and stakeholders.
-Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, investors, partners and other stakeholders
-Representing the company to the public and media.
-Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
-Utilizing problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and drive continuous improvement
-Ensuring the company's financial sustainability and growth, including managing cash flow and fundraising activities
The ideal candidate should have several of the following:
-Experience as a founder, CEO, or senior leader in a life sciences startup, ideally in the field of innovative dermo-cosmetics.
-Experience commercializing a product, ideally in the field of innovative dermo-cosmetics.
-Deep knowledge of cosmetic or pharmaceutical ingredient commercialization, and its associated value chain.
-Experience establishing partnerships with public or private institutions.
-Hands-on experience with customer discovery and early market validation.
-Ability to identify opportunities in dermo-cosmetic and healthcare markets.
-Experience navigating regulatory environments, ideally in different regions.
-Proven ability to raise capital at early stages.
-Ownership mindset, resilience and integrity.
Location and Language
-Based in France or able to relocate
-Professional working proficiency in both French and English
