LPRINT is a French deep-tech start-up, supported by INRIA, X-Up (École Polytechnique). We are developing an innovative 3D printer for the additive manufacturing of industrial-grade multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Our mission is to transform the way PCBs are designed and manufactured, enabling faster, more flexible, and sustainable PCB production that empowers hardware engineers and product development teams.
Our system enables high-precision, multi-material printing of conductive and dielectric materials — bridging the gap between laser processing, materials science, and electronics fabrication.
We are looking for a Co-Founder with deep expertise in laser–materials interaction and materials physics to join the founding team and help bring this breakthrough process from lab to prototype and beyond.
You will lead the materials and process development side of the technology:
Study and optimize laser–matter interaction mechanisms for materials;
Develop and characterize functional materials suitable for our method printing (conductive, dielectric);
Define and refine process parameters;
Collaborate closely with the optics / electronics co-founder to integrate process insights into the printing system;
Contribute to the design of experiments (DoE) and prototype validation cycles;
Support IP development, publications, and potential industrial collaborations.
Coordinate collaboration with chemical partners, labs, and universities.
PhD in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Laser Processing, or Physical Chemistry;
Hands-on experience with pulsed lasers (ns/ps/fs) as a plus;
Previous work in printed electronics as a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building a deep-tech startup in the Île-de-France ecosystem.
What You’ll Get
Co-founder equity and leadership role in an early-stage Deep-Tech startup;
Work on the frontier of optics, materials, and advanced manufacturing;
Shape the next generation of additive electronics manufacturing.
