
At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Your role 🔎:
Directly reporting to the Communication and Public Affairs Director, you will support the development and deployment of Ascendance’s communication and brand strategy, ensuring message consistency, visibility, and creative excellence across all channels.
You will be responsible for managing both strategic and operational communication activities — from media relations and brand content to event coordination — to reinforce Ascendance’s reputation as a pioneer in hybrid-electric aviation and sustainable technologies.
Your mission will be to elevate Ascendance’s brand image in France and internationally, ensuring that every message and visual reflects the company’s ambition, innovation, and purpose.
Your main responsibilities will be :
1. Strategy & Brand Positioning
Contribute to defining and deploying Ascendance’s communication and brand strategy.
Translate strategic priorities into clear and engaging messages.
Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all internal and external channels..
2. Media Relations & Visibility
Build and maintain trusted relationships with journalists and key media outlets in aerospace, tech, defense and sustainability.
Draft and coordinate press releases, media kits, and interview briefs.
Manage media coverage, track performance, and adjust communication angles accordingly.
Supervise PR agencies in France and abroad.
3. Events & Partnerships
Coordinate Ascendance’s presence at key industry events (Paris Air Show, European innovation forums).
Design and manage proprietary events (facilities visits, conferences).
Oversee visual and editorial coherence across all event-related materials.
Coordinate with agencies, suppliers, and production partners.
4. Content & Digital Communication
Oversee the production of brand and corporate content (videos, presentations, newsletters, website).
Collaborate closely with the Social Media & Content Manager to ensure editorial consistency and engagement.
Guarantee the quality, tone, and accuracy of messaging across all assets.
5. Management & Coordination
Supervise and guide junior profiles (community management, communication logistics).
Manage communication budgets and optimize resources.
Establish and monitor performance indicators (visibility, engagement, brand awareness).
Report regularly to the Communication and Public Affairs Director.

Founded on Ascendance’s strong values, the whole team is involved in creating both innovative products to decarbonize aviation and an accurate company structure to support its fast development.
Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed.

Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: +6 years in corporate communication, ideally in a technology, industrial, or aerospace environment.
Strategic & Creative Thinking: Ability to design and execute impactful communication strategies aligned with business goals.
Storytelling: Strong narrative sense, capable of transforming technical content into engaging stories.
Media Relations: Proven experience building relationships with journalists and generating positive coverage.
Brand Management: Expertise in maintaining consistent visual and verbal identity across platforms.
Event Management: Skilled in planning, coordinating, and executing corporate or industry events.
Digital Proficiency: Familiar with communication tools and platforms (CMS, social media, analytics, Cision, Office Suite, Notion, Slack, Canva).
Languages: Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
Political Affairs experience would be a plus
