Your role : 🔎

We are seeking a Communication Director to lead our communication strategies and initiatives in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the aerospace sector, combined with exceptional skills to effectively convey our brand message to diverse stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a flair for creativity, capable of overseeing all internal and external communications while ensuring consistency in execution and alignment with our organizational goals. As the Communication Director, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence, managing public relations, and driving engagement through impactful communication channels.


Your responsibilities range from: 

  • Communication strategy & implementation

  • Event planification

  • Media relations & Digital communication

  • Crisis management

Your main responsibilities will be : 


YOU CRAFT OUR COMMUNICATION STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENT IT

  • Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive and creative communication strategies that align with the company's objectives and enhance our brand image within the aerospace industry.

  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of high-quality and imaginative content for various communication channels, including press releases, articles, newsletters, social media posts, and marketing materials.

  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communication platforms. Monitor brand perception and implement inventive strategies to strengthen brand equity.

  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute corporate events, industry conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s achievements and innovations.

  • Crisis Communication: Develop and execute crisis communication plans to manage potential risks and maintain the company's reputation during challenging situations.


YOU MANAGE RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL & EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS

  • Media Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry media, journalists, and influencers. Proactively manage media inquiries and coordinate press releases to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.

  • Internal Communication: Foster effective internal communication to ensure employees are well-informed and engaged. Develop innovative initiatives to enhance corporate culture and employee morale.

  • Freelance selection & management on topics not covered by the current team. Identify and select a portfolio of freelances that can be triggered depending on the needs (graphic design, filmmaking, copywriter etc.)


YOU MANAGE AND GROW THE EXISTING COMMUNICATION TEAM

  • Manage and grow the existing team: Develop the Com & Brand manager as well as the Community manager already present in the team to ensure maximum team effectiveness as well as full potential development



Where do we stand? 

Founded on Ascendances' strong values, the whole team is involved in creating both innovative products to decarbonize aviation and an accurate company structure to support its fast development.

Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed.

Profil recherché

Knowledge / Hard skills

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a senior communication role, preferably within the aerospace or a related high-tech industry.

  • Strategic and Creative Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term communication strategies with a strong creative vision aligned with business goals.

  • Storyteller mentality: Ability to craft stories out of our everyday business to make our communication impactful with the ability to generate innovative and engaging content.

  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a compelling and imaginative manner.

  • Media Savvy: Proven track record in managing media relations and securing positive coverage.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and inspiring a team of communication professionals.

  • Crisis Management: Expertise in handling crisis communication and mitigating reputational risks with creative solutions.

  • Fundraising Communication: Experience in communication as part of a rapidly growing start-up or scale-up including communication phases to support a fundraising round

  • Digital Proficiency: Proficient in using digital communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and analytics tools.

  • Political Affairs experience would be a plus
