Your role : 🔎

As Configuration manager you will be part of the System Engineering, VV, Conf management and Tests team. Our team is very motivated and a key contributor to support the development of our brand new aircraft !

In the frame of the development, you will have the opportunity to work with the different Ascendance’s teams : Design Office, Production, Program, Test, Quality… It will be as well the opportunity to continue to define the basis of the configuration management for our prototype to pave the way for our next aircraft to be certified.

Your main responsibilities will:

Act as a Process owner

  • Develop and implement a full set of configuration management plans, processes and documentation for the development and certification of new aircraft platforms including customisation.

  • Ensure maintenance of all type / production design configurations for full service life of configured products. Establish a process to produce full configuration for any required aircraft or asset builds to support EASA/FAA audit.

  • Support and Training of configuration management process stakeholders

  • In line with PLM owner, define data model updates according to program needs and support deployment

Act as Operational Manager

  • Ensure that all Airworthiness documentation (Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc…) is accurate and representative of changes to aircraft configurations status for EASA/FAA and Customers.

  • Operate and execute processes:

  • Run Change Control Board (CCB)

  • Administrate and coordinate the Problem Resolution in line with Production, Engineering, Test and Customers

Ensure timely delivery of CM deliverables:

  • Product Breakdown Structure

  • Baselines

  • Configuration Items

  • Master Design Definition

Help to grow and develop the configuration management team to support aircraft development and certification according to schedule.

 Act as Engineering Configuration Manager

  • Manage and deliver eBOM for all product variants in PLM in collaboration with Engineering

  • Support change management with DMU integrator to ensure correctness and liaise with manufacturing/production to assess MBOM impact

  • Support S/W configuration management

  • Coordinate correct definition of change (scope/impact/effectivity) for hardware and software to maintain correct configuration definitions of all aircraft and verification assets.

 Where do we stand?

You will be entering the team during a crucial part of our development. Full scale test benches are running, while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed with many design decisions to take, regarding systems behavior, communication networks and associated developments

Profil recherché

The job has been made for you if you have : 🛠

  • A master degree in Engineering

  • 10  years of experience in Configuration management

  • An experience in both Aircraft program development and Engineering

  • An experience in Configuration Management Architecture is a plus

  • Knowledge of CS Part 23 / 25 / 27 Airworthiness constraints

  • Skilled in PLM (CATIA, ARAS)
