As part of its next phase of growth in the United States, Mouratoglou is developing a new generation of premium padel centers, combining sport excellence, community, and lifestyle experience.
As we build out our padel infrastructure across multiple states, we are looking for an experienced Construction Cost Estimator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping the physical infrastructure of one of the most dynamic racket sports expansions in the United States.
THE ROLE
As the owner-side cost control expert across our padel facility projects, you will work closely with General Contractors, architects, and subcontractors, reviewing bids, benchmarking GC proposals, translating blueprints into cost estimates, and analyzing change orders before approval.
Primarily desk-based with punctual on-site visits as needed, you will report directly to Director of Operations and Engineering while collaborating with Finance and Operations. Beyond day-to-day project oversight, you will help build the standardized cost frameworks that will power Mouratoglou's long-term padel expansion across the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost benchmarking
•Review and analyze bids from General Contractors and subcontractors
•Perform quantity takeoffs and independent cost estimates to validate GC proposals
•Benchmark costs against market data for all active projects
•Lead RFP processes and support vendor selection in coordination with leadership
Budget development and order change
•Prepare and maintain detailed project budgets for each facility
•Forecast final costs and flag risks and variances early
•Review and validate contractor invoices and payment applications
•Provide regular cost reporting to the CEO and Finance department
•Evaluate all change order requests : assess validity, pricing, and impact on overall budget
•Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality or brand standards
•Track approved changes and update project cost forecasts accordingly
Pre-construction support
•Prepare preliminary budgets and cost scenarios to support site feasibility decisions
•Assess structural, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing, and civil scope requirements early in the design phase
•Support permitting cost assessments and regulatory compliance budgeting
Process and standards development
•Build cost templates, approved materials lists, and estimating playbooks for future sites
•Help establish a repeatable, standardized estimating model to reduce cost and timeline on each new facility
•Coordinate with architects and engineers to align design decisions with budget targets
•Degree in Construction management, Civil engineering, or related field preferred
•8+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, or project cost management
•Proven experience on the owner's side (cost consultant, owner's rep)
•Solid exposure to commercial or recreational/sports facility construction
•Experience managing cost oversight across multiple simultaneous projects
•Solid understanding of steel structure builds (padel courts involve prefabricated steel and glass systems)
•Knowledge of local construction market conditions in the Midwest and Northeast US
•Proficiency with industry tools: RSMeans, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or equivalent
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
•Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment
•Authorization to work in the United States required
•Fluent English and Spanish, French language is a plus
