

Since 1985, CIRA has specialized in industrial instrumentation, particularly in regulation, testing, commissioning, diagnostics, and supervision of works. We operate internationally, primarily as a subcontractor for major industrial companies and system integrators.
Position: Construction Electrical/Instrumentation Supervisor Location: Côte d'Ivoire Start Date: February 2026 Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off or 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off Reports to: Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Subcontractor activities for your discipline, ensuring Plant Construction works are performed according to erection schedules, project documents, and within the assigned cost budget.
Ensure compliance with Quality & HSE procedures and the terms of the subcontract.
Cooperate with the project team for constructability and feasibility studies.
Participate in technical tabulation of bidders’ proposals and clarification meetings with bidders.
Check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule to ensure alignment with construction schedules and contractual commitments.
Control and approve Method Statements submitted by Subcontractors, ensuring correct field application.
Implement and participate in HSE procedures and activities as defined in the Site HSE plan.
Monitor and promote actions to recover any delays in the schedule.
Ensure the adequacy of equipment and manpower employed by Subcontractors and conformance to design documents, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Perform inspections and sign necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans.
Prepare and coordinate the resolution of non-conformity registers for each Subcontractor.
Detect design errors and request necessary changes from the Field Engineer.
Check and approve Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets.
Manage vendor specialists.
Assist the Subcontract Administrator/Engineer in defining new prices, preparing amendments to subcontracts, and analyzing claims.
Experience and Key Skills:
Professional Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in supervising construction sites in electrical and instrumentation disciplines, preferably in industrial projects (oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, etc.).
Proven experience in subcontractor management and coordination with multicultural teams.
Experience in budget management and adherence to project timelines.
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, NEC, ISO) and HSE regulations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reviewing electrical/instrumentation drawings and schematics to ensure compliance with design documents.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and site inspection plans.
Ability to review and approve subcontractor Method Statements.
Experience in identifying and resolving non-conformities on-site.
Familiarity with project management software (Primavera, MS Project) and progress tracking tools.
HSE Competencies:
Experience in implementing HSE procedures on construction sites.
Active participation in HSE meetings, audits, and training.
Ability to promote a safety culture among teams and subcontractors.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Strong leadership and ability to motivate and supervise technical teams.
Highly organized, rigorous, and adaptable to unforeseen challenges on-site.
Fluent in technical English (spoken and written). Knowledge of French is a plus.
Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or HSE (NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
