LANGA INTERNATIONAL is a French independent power producer with operations in Latin America, Europe, Africa and overseas. We develop, build and operate our own renewable energy projects.

We are recruiting an International Construction Project Director to support our IPP and EPC activities worldwide, especially in Africa.

Working directly with the Construction Division, your responsibilities will include :

👉🏻 PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Sizing and training the construction project team (project manager, site manager, consultants, etc.)

• Apply HSE requirements based on applicable regulations and company policy

• Structuring the project with all internal stakeholders in the construction phase up to the RTB stage and in the execution phase up to commissioning

• Identify the challenges and define priorities accordingly

• Manage the execution of the project in accordance with the defined schedule and technical choices

• Manage, control and optimize project costs within the approved budget

• Steering the selection of suppliers and service providers: drafting invitations to tender, inviting tenders and rigorously selecting companies

• Leading contract negotiations with the legal team and company management

• Coordinating and managing the main suppliers, contractors, the electricity network operator and the Customer throughout the construction phase

• Adopt best quality practices for construction monitoring and acceptance of works

• Coordinate with the Project Development team

• Ensure handover to the O&M team after acceptance

👉🏻 OPERATIONAL MODES

Develop exchanges with all project stakeholders

Identify and understand applicable regulations (grid code, labour code, etc.)

Be familiar with all the obligations of the employer and contractor erecting a photovoltaic project

Suggest and adapt the construction strategy according to the project's challenges

Communicate internally on feedback and best practice

Monitor project management, technical compliance and documentation

YOU :

• have a bachelor's degree/engineering diploma in electrical/electromechanical engineering/renewable energies

• have at least 10 years' successful professional experience as an international construction project manager (A site manager background and an experience in Africa to be considered as a real  plus)

• Have a strong experience of contract negotiation and risk management

• have a thorough knowledge of MS Project and Autocad.

Type of contract: Permanent

Place of work: France (Lyon or Paris)

National and international travel: approximately 10 days per quarter

Remuneration: depending on profile and, above all, experience
