In collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), we are seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to contribute to advanced initiatives focused on quantum and post-quantum cryptography technologies, helping secure next-generation space and communication systems.

Job Specifications
Location: Brussels (main office) - Occasional travel to Redu (ESA) possible
Work schedule: Flexible – remote work fully supported. The role allows working from home or from our Brussels office, with on-site visits when required
Contract type: Permanent position preferred; freelance possible as well
Starting date: December 2025
Security: Eligibility for Personal Security Clearance (PSC) required
As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will operate within an existing and approved quantum security architecture framework. You will collaborate closely with technical teams from Leonardo and ESA, contributing to the design, validation, and integration of high-security systems supporting space missions and ground infrastructures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining design constraints based on requirements, risk assessments, and system infrastructure
Performing risk identification and impact assessments related to classified information management
Reviewing and validating system architectures and cybersecurity requirements
Supporting integration and hardening of trusted COTS/MOTS hardware and software components
Assisting in project phases including documentation, SRR milestone support, and design updates
Consolidating hardening guidelines and security best practices
Providing general IT architecture support during bidding and ongoing project phases
Proven hands-on experience in security architecture, preferably related to cryptography or quantum technologies
Ability to work as an IT architect, comfortable contributing across architecture, project management, and bid support
Excellent communication skills; open and transparent dialogue on project details encouraged
Flexible and collaborative mindset to work in multi-national environments
Mid-seniority level; autonomy and proactivity essential
Eligible for security clearance
