For a prestigious European Institution based in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant to support the Information Security Authority responsible for protecting the Institution's information systems and external connections.
Working within an experienced cybersecurity team, you will contribute to security assessments, compliance reviews, security inspections, and the continuous improvement of Information Security processes supporting critical European services.

Job Specifications
Location of Delivery : On-site (Bruxelles)
Type of contract: Freelance
Contract duration : Initial assignment of 90 working days, with the possibility of yearly extensions
Urgent need : Early application heavily encouraged
Eligibly to obtain an EU SECRET security clearance required
As a Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant, you will support the management of the Interconnection Security Agreement (ISA) framework, ensuring that external connections comply with the Institution's Information Security requirements.
Working closely with internal teams, customers, and external service providers, you will contribute to security assessments, compliance activities, and security inspections across a wide range of IT environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyse and process requests related to external IT connections
Review Information Technology Security Plans (ITSPs)
Assess compliance with Information Security policies, standards, and procedures
Participate in security inspections of external partners, contractors, and information systems
Produce clear security assessment reports and technical documentation
Follow up on identified security findings and non-compliance issues
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers
Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes, standards, and guidelines
Maintain operational documentation, knowledge bases, KPIs, and service statistics
Experience / Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant IT discipline is preferred
Candidates with a degree in a non-related field should demonstrate relevant professional experience in IT and cybersecurity

Technical Skills
Good understanding of Information Security principles and best practices
Familiarity with Information Security standards such as ISO 27001 or equivalent frameworks
Understanding of network fundamentals and common security technologies
Knowledge of IT Security governance, compliance, or risk management concepts
Ability to analyse technical documentation and identify security risks
Experience reviewing technical documentation or security-related deliverables is considered an asset
Ability to produce structured technical documentation and reports
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to continuously learn and develop new technical competencies
Experience with European Commission Information Security policies or similar institutional environments would be considered an asset.
