Job description

To support the growth of TEHTRIS and develop our business, you are the technical referent of the Business Development team for the Nordics.
Ideally, you're based in Malaysia or Indonesia.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will work together with sales, engineering, and technical support.

You will be responsible for providing technical recommendations to customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will provide specialist knowledge in how to apply the product solution for the customer’s business. You will develop and deliver presentations and product demonstrations with a focus on product features and benefits of the TEHTRIS solution portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales team through the sales process.

  • Analyze and understand customers’ needs to determine the appropriate solution.

  • Act as a technical product expert to support pre-sales activities.

  • Provide technical leadership and creative thinking.

  • Demonstrate our services to potential customers and partners - and recommending technical solutions.

  • Interface with Product Management and the Engineering team to provide input on customer requirements. You maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta (non-released) TEHTRIS products and you effectively interact with the engineering teams to provide solutions to technical issues.

  • Participate in meetings with customers and the Sales team.

  • Assist in writing technical customer proposals/bid responses (RFI or RFP and you will carry out "Proof of concept"). 

  • Deliver technical presentations for customers as well as hosting webinars and conference calls.

  • Act as intermediary between customer and technical support/sales.

  • Provide competitive and current product analysis.

  • Collect and provide customer feedback for product improvements.

  • Manage and prioritize ad-hoc requests.

  • Aid with internal and external product training.

  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers. Provide a technical bridge between Sales Representatives and their prospective customers.

  • Take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone

  • Perform other duties as required.


Experience and Skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a product or sales engineering role within a technical environment.

  • Excellent customer interaction skills in terms of managing expectations and resolving issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications with professional and technical audiences.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, ability to act as a product specialist – features, functionality and benefits to the customer.

  • Ability to work with multiple departments (sales, support, engineering).

  • Ability to understand the Sales process.

  • Technical background within a business environment is required.

  • Familiarity with project management solutions is a plus.

  • Experience with Channel partners is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Detailed oriented, well organized, and punctual.

  • A strong multi-tasker with excellent problem solving resolution abilities.

  • Able to effectively and efficiently instruct and guide our customers on-site, online, and through the telephone.

  • Able to handle your own time effectively. Self-starter with the ambition to continuously learn new tools and techniques.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.

  • SaaS Software knowledge strongly desired.

  • Bachelor’s Degree - a degree in Computer Science or Information Technologies preferred.
