Reporting to his subsidiary's General Manager, the Deputy General Manager is responsible for ensuring the operational and technical performance of insurance activities, driving business development and the effectiveness of distribution networks, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management, overseeing the organization and performance of the teams under his or her responsibility, and contributing to the strategic management and governance of the company.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following key activities :

1. Ensure the operational and technical performance of the business

2. Ensure business development and the effectiveness of sales networks

3. Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management

4. Ensure the structure and performance of the teams within your scope of responsibility

5. Contribute to strategic management and governance

Education

• Minimum of a master’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, business school, or equivalent.

Experience

• 10 to 15 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Proven experience in a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of Life and Non-Life insurance operations.
• Experience in a transformation or growth environment is preferred.

Hard skills

• Expertise in Life and Non-Life insurance products.
• Strong understanding of technical-business equilibrium.
• Knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework in Sierra Leone.
• Proficiency in project management and performance management.
