At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Your role : 🔎
Directly reporting to the Head of Airworthiness & Safety Office, you will support him/her in her roles and responsibilities of the Head of Office of Airworthiness (HOA) in the frame of ATEA Type Certification.
As deputy Head of Office of Airworthiness, your main responsibilities will be :
develop airworthiness processes, prepare and follow their implementation within Ascendance in collaboration with the Quality Department
prepare and update the Design Organisation Handbook
liaise with EASA for the DOA investigation
discuss internally and with EASA for the establishment and interpretation of applicable technical requirements
internally follow the execution of Certification Plans and the on-time delivery of compliance documents
coordinate activities with EASA Program Certification Manager as needed
coordinate internally the issuance of operational Manuals and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness submitted to EASA approval
Interface with DGAC for topics relevant to NAA competence.

The job has been made for you if you : 🛠
Have strong experience (15+ years) in aerospace industry with minimum 5 years in an Office of Airworthiness with a role related to aircraft type certification activities or major change approval activities.
Have a comprehensive understanding of EASA Part 21 and of EASA initial airworthiness processes, including Subpart J related to Design Organisation Approval
General knowledge of overall aircraft design and operations,
An experience of DOA process set up is a plus
An experience of CS-23 or CS-27 certification requirements is a plus
An experience of TC validation is a plus.
