Le poste

Your Mission

You will lead the Design Office team and ensure the successful development of mechanical components and cell assembly solutions that meet customer and business requirements.

As a member of the Product Engineering Management Team, you will play an active role in shaping engineering standards, improving processes, and supporting the growth of the Engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Design Office Team

  • Manage and develop a team of Design Office Technicians.

  • Supervise day-to-day engineering activities to ensure project execution and deliverables are achieved on time and with the expected quality.

  • Allocate resources effectively, manage workload, and prioritize activities according to business needs.

  • Foster team engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive Engineering Excellence

  • Develop, maintain, and animate internal standards and technical references.

  • Ensure engineering best practices are applied consistently across projects.

  • Define and implement processes that improve design efficiency and product quality.

  • Support the development of engineering capabilities and technical expertise within the team.

Manage Project Deliverables

  • Coordinate the design and development of mechanical components and cell assemblies in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure Engineering deliverables meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) objectives.

  • Monitor project progress and anticipate risks to secure successful execution.

  • Support customer projects throughout the product development lifecycle, from RFQ to serial production support.

Lead Operational Performance

  • Manage KPIs and performance indicators for the team.

  • Drive action plans to achieve operational and engineering targets.

  • Ensure alignment between project priorities and team execution.

Contribute to ACC's Growth

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at strengthening Engineering processes and organization.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Quality, Industrialization, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other key stakeholders.

  • Support strategic initiatives within the Product Engineering Management Team.

Profil recherché

Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge & Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience in team management and employee motivation.

  • Solid expertise in supervising the design and CAD development of cell and module mechanical systems for lithium-ion batteries.

  • Good understanding of mechanical design processes, product development, and industrial constraints.

  • Knowledge of design-to-cost methodologies and manufacturability principles.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive, battery, or related industrial sectors.

  • Previous experience managing a mechanical design team is strongly preferred.

  • Experience working in a customer-oriented development environment.

Education

  • Minimum Bac +2/+3 (Associate or Bachelor's Degree) in Mechanical Design, Production Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Engineering degree is considered an advantage.

  • English (B2 level minimum) is mandatory.
