Within Leonardo Belgium, the EU CyberSec Regional Center serves as a center of cybersecurity expertise, delivering security services and solutions across complex and mission-critical environments.
You will join a team of cybersecurity professionals working on the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of security solutions supporting critical infrastructures and services.
This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about automation and secure software delivery, and who want to integrate security into modern development and infrastructure practices from the earliest stages of the lifecycle.

Job Specifications
Location: Brussels (3 days on-site 2 days home-working)

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will embed security throughout the software development lifecycle by designing and maintaining secure automation pipelines and development practices.
You will:
Design, implement, and maintain secure automated CI/CD pipelines
Integrate and configure automated security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, Container scanning) into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and security architects to embed security into the development pipeline and remediate code-level vulnerabilities
Automate security compliance monitoring and logging within cloud and containerized environments
Foster and advocate a proactive security culture (DevSecOps evangelization) across engineering teams
Experience / Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, would be appreciated, but alternative educational paths with proven experience will be considered as well
Several years of professional experience in a DevOps or DevSecOps role, with a proven track record of securing development pipelines
Cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD) are highly appreciated.
Successful candidates would typically have
Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Strong knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and securing containerized applications
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible)
Hands-on experience with security integration tools (e.g., SonarQube, Trivy, or Checkmarx)
Excellent analytical and collaborative skills, with fluent English communication
Nice to have
Software development background
Deep understanding of cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure)
Previous experience in highly regulated environments (EU, NATO, or financial sector)
