The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the drilling operations for oil and gas wells. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed drilling plans, including well design, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with geologists and other engineers to determine the best drilling methods and equipment.
Monitor and analyze drilling operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and costs.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of drilling activities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and environmental policies.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Provide technical support and guidance to the drilling team.
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling operations .
Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and technologies.
Proficiency in drilling software and simulation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
