Maestria Recruitment & Consulting, in collaboration with our esteemed client in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Project Manager. This position will oversee the coordination and management of drilling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Supervise and lead the drilling team, including Drilling Engineers, HSE officers, Geologists, Company Men, and Logistics Pushers.
Ensure seamless coordination between the Drilling Manager, Fluids Superintendent, and Drilling Superintendent.
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement detailed drilling plans in collaboration with the Drilling Engineer and Superintendent.
Monitor and manage drilling activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all drilling operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Work closely with HSE officers to implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.
Communication and Coordination:
Liaise with the Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Contracts Manager, and Cost Controller to ensure smooth project operations.
Maintain regular communication with the Operation Geologist for technical guidance and support.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to drilling efficiency, safety, and costs.
Conduct regular team meetings and site inspections to assess progress and address any issues.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in drilling operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as IWCF, Well Control, etc.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in drilling software and technology.
Strong understanding of HSE regulations and practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
