Job Description:

As Python and C# Engineer, you will cooperate with other developers and stakeholders in an Agile environment and you  will be responsible to design, develop and support custom Python solutions for a large financial institution and produce reports based on financial statements and models. 

As Python and C# Engineer a, you will perform the following tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and tools using Python and C# to support structured finance and fixed income workflows.

• Develop high-quality Python libraries and packages that address specific needs within the user community.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.

• Provide guidance for developing modern APIs ensuring resilience,  high availability, scalability and security.

• Customize  environments to meet the specific needs of data science teams and projects.

• Install and manage additional packages, libraries, and dependencies required for data analysis, machine learning.

• Monitor and optimize the performance of Data Analytics environments, including system responsiveness, resource utilization, and job execution times.

• Identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, to ensure smooth operation of data science workflows

Technical expertise and Qualifications 

• You hold (ideally) a Bachelor and a strong proficiency in Python programming language.

• Solid experience with Python frameworks

• Python C# with Finance (Securitisation/Structured Products) Experience

• Strong programming skills in Python and C#, and a solid understanding of financial instruments, particularly structured products, fixed income, or asset-backed securities (ABS).

• Experience with VBA for MS Office automation is a plus, as are skills in Java.

• Collaborate closely with business users to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet their needs.

• Ensure code quality and optimal performance by adhering to best practices, including thorough code reviews and comprehensive testing.

• Provide ongoing support and implement enhancements for existing production applications.

• Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical design discussions.
