Massilly North America has been manufacturing metal packaging (lids) for the food industry for over 25 years.
We are in need of an Electrical Apprentice to join our Maintenance department. The Electrical Apprentice will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Shifts: This position rotates through all three shifts (Days, Nights, Afternoons)

Our facility runs three shifts - must be able to work all three
Days ( 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m)
Afternoons ( 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m)
Nights ( 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m)
Your duties will include:
Performing preventative maintenance
Work closely with licensed electricians to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience.
Troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
Installing, inspecting, adjusting and maintaining manufacturing equipment
Interpreting/using electrical drawings, plant layouts, machine wiring diagrams, and equipment specs
Maintaining machine shop/maintenance records
Qualifications:
Registered apprentice currently in 3rd year of apprenticeship (309A or 442A) preferred
Proficient in academic and practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
Working knowledge of operating characteristics of electrical and electronic controls and sensing devices used on automated equipment
Basic English (verbal & written)
PLC programming experience in software systems (e.g. Omron and AB)
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all personnel
