Energy analyst

The Energy Team has a key Role inside EPYR : make the thermal Battery competitive, leveraging on its flexibility and modularity in order to supply heat at lowest cost.

As an Energy Analyst, you will contribute to the development of tools and algorithms enabling the best sourcing strategies. This role involves Data, Market Analysis as well as Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve energy pricing and sourcing models, integrating market data and technical constraints.

• Analyze electricity markets, pricing structures, and regulatory incentives to optimize EPYR’s sourcing strategy.

• Support the design of forecasting models for energy price variations and grid flexibility mechanisms.

• Automate data collection and processing pipelines for market intelligence and risk assessment.

• Work closely with both the Energy and Engineering teams to integrate modeling insights into business decisions.

• Master’s degree of a leading engineering school or university

• Strong proficiency in Python / most used libs : Pandas, Polars, Pydantic

• Understanding of energy markets, power procurement, and flexibility mechanisms.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

• Passionate about energy transition and industrial decarbonization.

• Prior experience in energy modeling, quantitative analysis, or energy trading is a plus.
