About the role:
Our Production team is looking for an Entry Level Machine Operator to work in our Lithography department (Printing and Coating). You will be responsible for supporting continuous operation of the production line and checking the quality of the product produced.
What you’ll do:
Set up and operate waxer, plate turner, stacker; makes adjustments as needed
Perform all lubricating of stackers, ovens and related equipment at oven exit
Monitor and adjust wax application
Straighten and replace wickets
Sort plate, as required. Strap and/or wrap tinplate
Assist Operator on changeovers, wash-ups and clean-up of equipment
Maintain regular inspection of lacquered plate for visual defects and registration
Report mechanical problems to Operator and/or Supervisor
Relieve operator, as required
Make minor adjustments and repairs to waxer, turner and stacker within scope and training
Advise Operator and/or Supervisor of quality defects and assists in correcting
Maintain records; maintains tinplate and lacquer code identification controls
What you’ll bring to the role:
High school diploma or GED
Basic verbal and written English
Minimum 2 years’ working in a high speed manufacturing environment preferred
Mechanically inclined; experienced working with manufacturing equipment
Able to lift 40 lbs and be able to stand for entire shift
Basic administrative skills in maintaining records and controls
Demonstrated ability to organize workload
Attention to detail and familiarity with quality principles
Ability to work rotating shifts and some weekends, as required
What we offer:
Training Rate $22.55/hr. Fully Trained Rate $24.24/hr.
Shift Premiums - Afternoons (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) $0.50/hr | Nights (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) $1.00/hr
3 weeks vacation per year
