The HC Administrative Manager will be responsible for managing employee records, compliance matters, payroll coordination, and the implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with Gambian labor regulations and banking industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Employee Records Management:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, personnel records, and documentation in compliance with data protection regulations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to Gambian labor laws, banking sector regulations, and international compliance requirements specific to financial institutions.
Payroll Administration:
Coordinate with payroll systems, verify employee data accuracy, and ensure timely processing of salaries and benefits.
HR Policies & Procedures:
Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies tailored to the banking sector and local regulatory requirements.
Recruitment Support:
Assist in the recruitment process, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding procedures.
Employee Relations:
Handle employee inquiries, grievances, and disciplinary matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare HR reports, audits, and compliance documentation for management and regulatory bodies.
Data Management:
Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and maintain data integrity across all HR systems.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of HR administration experience within the banking or financial services sector, with demonstrated knowledge of banking-specific regulations and operational requirements.
SHRM certification or HR professional qualification is highly preferred.
Hard skills
HRIS Systems Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of HR management software and database systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HR, or similar platforms preferred).
Payroll Software Expertise: Proficiency in payroll processing systems and wage calculation tools.
Microsoft Office Suite: Mastery of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret HR metrics and performance dashboards.
Legal & Compliance Documentation: Strong ability to prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation and compliance records.
Email & Communication Tools: Professional proficiency in email management and internal communication platforms.
Fluency in English (written and oral).
