Through our AIFM and CIS Manager and non-regulated services and in collaboration with impact investment management firms, Innpact manages a dozen of mid and large size impact vehicles active in microfinance, renewable energy, conservation, carbon projects or agriculture. Innpact brings its 15 years’ experience through various tailor-made services including portfolio management, risk management, compliance, reporting and impact management services.
To support our growth, we are looking for a motivated Junior Portfolio Operations Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team. The Junior Portfolio Operations Analyst will support the portfolio management team with liquidity management analysis and portfolio administration for Impact funds, including execution and monitoring of trades, treasury operations and liaising with counterparties. Furthermore, he/she will work closely with the portfolio management and asset liability management area to ensure the smooth management of the funds.
Liquidity management and settlement monitoring:
Monitor transactions in relation to hedging activities of our clients, follow up on outstanding cash payment instructions and liaise with the relevant parties, including portfolio managers.
Monitor and analyze collateral placements between our clients and their hedging counterparties, review and challenge margin calls received and issue margin calls under the supervision of the Manager. Monitor interest payments related to collaterals.
Support the overall cash management for our clients, prepare payment instructions and liaise with the custodian banks in relation to incoming and outgoing payments, including new subscriptions, account allocation, payment of invoices, etc. Assist with sharing information with external providers and other internal teams when required.
Organize and maintain the use of a transaction management system used by our clients. Monitor and verify data input from portfolio managers, support the reconciliation of data from the system and coordinate with the system provider.
Support all portfolio operational activities including NAV control, financial reporting, budget monitoring, VAT review, KYC documentation, etc.
Support the organisation of internal meetings, take minutes and share action points
Contribute to other team projects when required, identify ways to increase efficiencies in the portfolio operations process while maintaining high quality.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or other relevant disciplines and ideally between one and three-year experience in portfolio operations, administration or other similar role.
Good analytical skills with attention to details, critical thinking, proactive and structured approach to solving problems. Ability to conceive, embrace, manage and implement positive change.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Use of analytical tools and simple programming languages is a plus.
Strong ability to work with tight deadlines, to respond swiftly and effectively to unforeseen situations in a client-focused environment, flexibility to adapt within a dynamic working environment.
High degree of fluency in both written and spoken English
