Terao operates on the whole building life cycle, from design (green building specifications, energy efficiency design and calculation, etc.) to operation and maintenance (energy audits, certifications in operation, …). 

Since 2022, TERAO joined ATIXIS, an Engineering and Project Management group. Atixis provides support to major clients on strategic construction projects for buildings in the service sector (offices, corporate headquarters, etc.), public buildings (hotels, schools, museums, historic monuments, etc.), healthcare (hospitals, retirement homes, etc.), industrial buildings (warehouses, data centres, etc.), energy (nuclear, gas, thermal, renewables, etc.). Job responsibility:

Under the responsibility of the South-East Asia Operations Director, the Industrial Energy Efficiency Engineer participates in TERAO projects in Asia, with a focus on industrial facilities and covers the following main tasks:

• Energy Audits and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments of industrial facilities to identify energy-saving opportunities and potential improvements.

• Data Analysis: Analyse energy consumption data, process data, and equipment performance to develop tailored energy efficiency solutions.

• Recommendations: Provide clients with actionable recommendations and strategies for improving energy efficiency, including equipment upgrades, process optimization, and renewable energy integration.

• Project Management: Grow into a project management role, acting as the main point of contact for clients, tracking schedules and deliverables, producing or delegating as needed to get the work done, and integrating diverse knowledge to provide insightful information to clients.

• Performance Monitoring: Implement energy monitoring systems and track the performance of implemented solutions to ensure sustained energy savings.

• Commissioning services: Monitoring-based commissioning services requiring data visualization to spot faulty operations in HVAC operational trends

• Client Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and serving as a trusted advisor for energy efficiency initiatives.

• Communication: Prepare logically organized, technically accurate, and clearly presented emails, memos, and reports

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• 4-5 years of experience in industrial energy efficiency, energy management, or related fields

• 2 years of experience in commissioning, on-site installation, functional testing of MEP system

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other relevant certifications preferred.

Skills

• Experience with ASHRAE energy audits

• Strong knowledge of industrial processes, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, motors, fluids, heat transfer, heat recovery and energy-efficient technologies

• Excellent project management and communication skills

• Knowledge of energy management practices, familiarity with ISO 50001 standard

Abilities

• Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and integrate new concepts and tools

• Strong writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, training, and analytical skills

• Strong judgment and critical thinking to challenge assumptions and solve problems

• Strong organizational, time and project management skills

Software

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience with Energy Modeling software (DesignBuilder, IES-VE, Ansys, etc.) or MEP design software is a plus
