Industrial Excellence Manager - Chinese billingual / relocation in China

We are an international recruitment agency.

Location : We are looking for an expatriate profile to join Vallourec at its Chuzhou industrial site in China.

The position will require regular travel to the Vallourec group's industrial sites: Chuzhou & Changzhou.

Reporting to Mathieu, Easter Hemisphere Industrial Director, and working closely with Operational Excellence and the managers of the various factories in China, you will have the following responsibilities:

Missions :

1. Deployment of Vallourec Management System (VMS) (20% of position)

·       Implement the production policy by deploying the Vallourec Management System.

·       Monitor daily, weekly and monthly routines for operational control.

2. Lean Management (Value Stream Mapping) (20% of position)

·       Deploy VSM workshops to map and optimize value streams.

·       Streamline Value Stream Mapping to maximize added value by eliminating non-essential elements ("remove the fat, keep the muscle") (20%).

3. Challenge and evolve the 5S model (20% of position)

·       Implement initiatives to challenge and evolve the 5S model.

4. Balanced Scorecard management (20% of position)

·       Consolidate the Balanced Scorecard before the monthly review.

·       Actively participate in the construction of Balanced Scorecards in line with defined objectives.

5.           Cost saving plan (20% of position)

·       Draw up action plans to achieve cost reduction targets.

·       Participate in the implementation of actions identified in the cost saving plan.

• You have a degree in industrial mechanics

• You have 5 to 8 years' experience in industrial mechanics

• Fluent in Chinese and English

• You have successful experience in Lean manufacturing & industrial excellence

• You are interested in functional management and like to involve people in your projects.

• You are accustomed to challenging existing practices and enjoy making practices evolve.
