Information System Tester (H/F/X)

To support one of our clients, a leading European institution at the heart of diplomacy and international cooperation, Leonardo Belgium is looking for an Information System Tester. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to projects that shape Europe’s digital solutions and ensure the reliability of systems supporting diplomatic missions worldwide.

Job Specifications

• Hybrid setting, on site and nearby (Brussels)

• Contract : Freelance (or open to VAT creation)

• CV format: Europass

• Starting date : ASAP

• Eligibly to undergo a Personal Security Clearance (PSC) required

As an Information System Tester, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and stability of applications and digital services. Working closely with project managers, business analysts, and developers, your role will focus on designing, executing, and documenting test activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining test plans and test cases based on functional requirements

• Creating test scenarios and scripts to validate application functionality

• Executing manual functional, integration, regression, and acceptance tests

• Documenting and reporting test results in a clear and structured way

• Identifying, tracking, and reporting defects

• Supporting the configuration and deployment of testing environments and tools

• Collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues

Experience:

• Proven experience in a software testing environment

Soft Skills:

• Rapid self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong teamwork abilities with a focus on collaboration in an agile environment

Tools and methodologies used

• Testing : Selenium, Soap UI, NeoLoad

• IDEs: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, JetBrains PhpStorm, Microsoft Visual Studio Code

• Programming languages and frameworks: JavaScript (jQuery, Angular, TypeScript, Vue.js, KendoUI), Java (Spring, Struts, Hibernate), PHP (Symfony, Laravel, Drupal), ColdFusion (FuseBox), SQL/PL-SQL, HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap)

• Project Management: Confluence JIRA, ServiceNow

• Methodologies: PM² and PM² Agile, Kanban, Scrum
