INJECTOSE - Intern in Materials / Polymers (H/F)

Grenoble, France Stage (6 mois)

À propos de INJECTOSE

Injectose project is based in LGP2 lab. LGP2 is recognized in France and internationally, with research on biomass valorization, the development of bio-based materials (paper, cardboard, composites), recycling processes, nanocelluloses, printing processes for the functionalization of surfaces and printed electronics. You will work in the Matbio team, which is developing research in the field of biobased materials using a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, ranging from elementary building blocks derived from plant biomass to composites and fibrous materials for applications in the packaging, healthcare and construction sectors. The team is also focusing its research on process engineering for the production of bio-based materials.

Le poste

Your project is included in CELLECTION project which is a collaborative project between CITEO, CTP, IPC, LGP2 and Injectose. The main goal is to propose cellulosic fiber-based alternatives to plastic packaging using traditional equipment and processes of the plastic industry. Your project will answer customer requirements for specific applications, involving formulation optimization. Optimized formulation will be produced by twin screw extruder pilot scale in CTP. Tridimensional and complex prototypes (caps, jar, etc.) will be produced by injection-molding at lab scale in LGP2 and at pilot scale on an injection press in IPC. Recyclability will be assessed at each step following standards. The complete process is protected by three patents.

Profil recherché

Responsibilities :

  • Develop new formulations to reach targeted properties.

  • Production of prototypes by injection-molding made of 90-95 % of cellulose fibers

  • Development of patented processes at pilot scale and industrial trials.

  • Conception of molds for new packaging application.

  • Material characterization (mechanical and barrier properties).

  • End of life (recyclability, compostability, life cycle assessment).

Skills :

  • Master student in material science or process engineering with background in polymer science (knowledge in cellulosic and fibrous material would be an asset).

  • Fluent in English (you will work in an international lab).

  • Presentation and synthesis skills, you will present your results to project partners

  • Interested in innovations, development, technological transfer applied to bioeconmy and circular economy.

  • Ready to work in autonomy, with a critical mindset, you are proactive in your project by proposing ideas and with a strong will to learn, you are able to communicate and work in team.

6‑month internship starting on January 26, February 9, or March 2, 2026
