Job description

We are seeking a Junior Cloud System Engineer to support cloud operations, application maintenance, and security governance across enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 Finance and Sales, Power Platform, and SAP (S/4HANA, ByDesign, BTP). 

The role combines operational support, platform management, and a focus on security standardization and best practices adoption. 

A junior profile is expected to build strong operational foundations: learn our service standards, follow defined procedures, work closely with senior engineers, progressively take ownership of recurring activities, and develop the autonomy needed to deliver reliable support to customers and internal teams. 

Responsabilities 

Incident Management and Service Operations: 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues - Incident/Problem management and root cause analysis - escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary; 

  • Document and track customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in a support ticketing system; 

Cloud Infrastructure Management:  

  • Deploy, configure and manage Cloud services. 

  • Monitor resource utilization, apply cost optimization strategies, and ensure high availability of Cloud infrastructure; 

Documentation and Knowledge Management Knowledge Base:  

  • Contribute to knowledge articles, operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation to improve service continuity and team efficiency; 

  • Keep documentation up to date after incidents, changes, and newly implemented controls or processes. 

Security and Compliance:  

  • Implement and promote cloud security best practices  

  • Contribute to the standardization of security processes, including:  

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM), RBAC 

  • Entra ID and application registrations 

  • Secure credential and password vault management (e.g. Key Vault) 

  • Secure access to cloud services and business applications 

  • Support security governance across:  

  • Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform) 

  • SAP landscape (S/4HANA, BTP, ByDesign) 

Automation and Continuous Improvement:  

  • use tools, scripts, and workflows to streamline operational tasks and deployments; 

  • Identify improvement opportunities in monitoring, support processes, documentation, and platform administration, and share them with the team.

Profile

TRequired skills 

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience); 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and operating systems in general; 

  • Understanding of Cloud principles; 

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles; 

  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and SAP IAS authentication systems; 

  • Knowledge of DevOps principles; 

  • Knowledge of networking and communications; 

  • Knowledge of monitoring platforms; 

  • English language advanced communication skills. 

Nice to have 

  • Knowledge of the French and/or Spanish languages is a plus. 

  • Microsoft Power Platform architecture and/or admin knowledge; 

  • Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O architecture and/or admin knowledge 

  • Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Dev Ops Engineer,…) ; 

  • Cybersecurity certifications 

Previous Experience 

Minimal experience in the role: internship or up to 1–2 years in infrastructure, cloud operations, application support or IT administration is appreciated.

Position is open for our office in Perugia (PG) - Italy – Partially remote job position –  late hours availability may be requested.
