Within Leonardo Belgium, the EU CyberSec Regional Center serves as a center of cybersecurity expertise, delivering security services and solutions across complex and mission-critical environments.
You will join a team of cybersecurity professionals working on the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of security solutions supporting critical infrastructures and services.

Job Specifications
Location: Brussels (3 days on-site 2 days home-working)

As a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will contribute to the implementation, operation, and improvement of cybersecurity controls and solutions, ensuring alignment with security requirements, architectures, and operational needs.
You will work closely with experienced cybersecurity engineers, architects, and security specialists while progressively taking ownership of technical activities.
You will:
Contribute to the deployment and operation of cybersecurity solutions and controls
Support the secure configuration and hardening of systems, applications, and network components
Assist with vulnerability remediation and security improvement activities
Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of security-related issues
Contribute to the integration of security into infrastructure and development environments
Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and implementation records
Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, risk managers, and other security stakeholders
Support reporting activities and communicate progress to project teams when required
Experience / Education / Certifications
At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, would be appreciated, but alternative educational paths with proven experience will be considered as well
Initial professional experience in the cybersecurity domain, with exposure to the implementation or operation of cybersecurity solutions

General interest in cybersecurity and evolving threat landscapes

Hands-on experience with security technologies or infrastructure environments
Exposure to security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, or SOC environments
Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud security concepts
Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar)
Cybersecurity certifications
Previous exposure to EU Institutions, NATO, or other regulated environments
Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI and quantum technologies
French and/or Italian language skills
