About the role:
The Waste Reduction Specialist at Massilly North America is a newly created, high-impact role designed to champion operational excellence. This position acts as a central strategic "cog," bridging all departments to drive a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven processes and supply chain management solutions. The primary focus is to transform a "blank page" into a robust waste and energy-reduction program, with the ultimate goal of institutionalizing long-term solutions that significantly reduce the cost of scrap while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
Lean Implementation: Lead and facilitate Lean tools and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen events, Kanban, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED, and MES.
Process Analysis: Analyze workflows and production data to identify bottlenecks and areas of waste.
Project Management: Plan and execute improvement projects aligned with business objectives to deliver measurable results in SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost).
Training & Coaching: Deliver training to employees at all levels to build internal Lean capability.
Data & Reporting: Use KPIs and data-driven insights to track progress and present findings to Leadership and Management.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain) to manage cultural change.
Standardization: Implement operational standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the plant.
What you’ll bring to the role:
5 - 7 years in a manufacturing environment implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement programs
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and MS Excel; experience with CAD or simulation software is an asset
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills; must be fluent in advanced English (verbal and written)
Strong facilitation, coaching, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Experience in food packaging or high-speed metal stamping and forming
Experience working within ISO 9K, 22K, or 14K environments
What we offer:
Compensation Package: $85,000 - $95,000 CAD annually + Profit Share Eligibility
