Key Responsibilities:

• Defend company interests in strategic, commercial, and tax matters

• Ensure compliance with agreements signed with the Tanzanian Government and partners

• Provide legal advice to management and operational teams

• Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting the business

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and government entities

• Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and liaise with external legal firms

• Ensure corporate governance compliance and company secretarial duties

• Maintain legal documentation and reporting to the Group General Counsel

Profile & Requirements:

• Law degree & admission to the High Court of Tanzania

• 7+ years’ experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel (preferably in extraction/energy sectors)

• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian legal regulations and corporate governance

• Experience in contract law, commercial law, taxation, and public law

• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills

• Fluent in English, strong legal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple legal matters and provide strategic legal support
