Reporting to the Group Deputy Managing Director in charge of Business Development, the Managing Director is responsible for designing, structuring and driving the development of a Life and Non-Life insurance company across the WAEMU region, while ensuring its profitability, regulatory compliance and strategic positioning in the market.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: :
Ensure the company’s overall viability and performance;
Ensure the establishment and operational development of the company (greenfield);
Ensure regulatory compliance and risk control;
Ensure team structuring and performance;
Contribute to the company’s strategic positioning and reputation.
Education
Minimum Master’s degree/ Bac+5 (Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, Business School or equivalent)
Experience
Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in the insurance sector
Proven experience in an executive management position (Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, BU Director, etc.)
Experience in business launch or transformation (greenfield / build-up) highly desirable
Good knowledge of the WAEMU market and the CIMA framework
Hard skills
Mastery of Life and Non-Life insurance products;
Strong financial and actuarial background;
Ability to analyze complex balance sheets and solvency indicators;
In-depth knowledge of the CIMA regulatory framework
