Reichdrill LLC is seeking a

🛠️ Mechanical Engineer (M/F)

The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to support existing designs and new development projects using technical knowledge and experience.

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a major drill rig R&D project, ensuring it is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest engineering standards. The position combines technical design expertise with hands-on leadership in production follow-up and field testing.

Will be responsible for all aspect of Mechanical engineering :

  • Lead the design and development of a new drill rig from concept through production and field testing.

  • Manage project planning, technical documentation, and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Oversee and validate designs in structural frames, masts, hydraulic systems (pumps and motors), and compressor/airflow systems.

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.

  • Provide production with manufacturing files including detailed and assembly drawings and instructions to meet committed scheduled delivery.

  • Establishment and documentation of technical specifications, machine capabilities, and machine performance. 

  • Work with product development team to evaluate and select new parts and vendors.

  • Work closely with Service department to resolve issues and make product improvement in those areas of concern through customer and service personnel feedback.

  • Work closely with production to reduce manufacturing costs.

  • ERP updates of items and Bill of Material.

  • Assist Marketing, Sales and Service departments with customers via plant and field visits, presentations and meetings.

Profil recherché

🎯 Competences :

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred)

  • 5 years of experience minimum

  • Excellent communication

  • Proven expertise in structural design, hydraulics, and compressor/airflow systems

  • Comfortable using ERP software, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive) and AutoCAD Inventor, etc

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience with Canbus technology

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor, and other engineering software

  • Prior experience designing drill rigs (e.g., Schramm, Gefco, Epiroc, Sandvick or similar) is highly valued

  • French language proficiency is a plus
